ESA MOOC, produced by Imperative Space, universally praised

ESA's 'Monitoring Climate from Space' MOOC ('massive open online course'), designed and produced by Imperative Space, has received universal praise on the completion of its first 'live run' on the FutureLearn platform.

The course has been greeted with enthusiastic compliments for its clarity, depth and inspirational quality from learners, policy-makers, Earth Observation specialists and climate scientists.

The course provides an overview of the role of satellite Earth Observation in monitoring changes in the climate and environment, and acts as an introductory gateway to climate data. It includes a wide range of visually striking data interweaved into the course videos, additional layers of further reading and example data, interactive exercises and a unique satellite tracking app specially designed by Imperative Space for the course.

The course has now completed its first formal 'live run' but all course materials remain accessible for everyone who has already registered on the course. Further 'runs' of the course are planned for the future.
